ABOUT MEMBERSHIP
The above-mentioned characteristics are a clue to the gains you will achieve when you become a member of the association. But summarizing them can be helpful. Some of the gains you will get with your membership are as follows;
- Contributing to the development of Social Studies education.
- Meeting people such as academicians, teachers and prospective teachers working in the field of Social Studies education in a social and scientific environment.
- Developing and trying to develop people who share the same goal.
- To strive for the Association of Social Studies Educators to be more effective at the universal and national level.
- Getting rid of the "man unionist" passive citizenship approach by making the disruptions you see in the field of Social Studies education or suggestions you find useful to do.
- To share what you do, what you will do, your suggestions and excitement about Social Studies education.
- To produce alternative solutions by collaborating with people who have the same goal and share similar problems.
- Refreshing and updating their knowledge in the field of Social Studies education.
- Witnessing and participating in the discussions of scientists.
- Symposium, workshop, etc. to participate in the preparation of scientific studies.
- Various books, stories, novels, movies, etc. that you think serve Social Studies education. to ensure that the tools and equipment are shared. RIGHT TO BECOME A
MEMBER and MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURES
Article 3- Every real and legal person who has the capacity to act and accepts to work in this direction by adopting the objectives and principles of the association and meets the conditions stipulated by the Legislation has the right to become a member of this association. However, foreign real persons must also have the right to settle in Turkey in order to become a member. Membership applications in writing and addressed to the association chairmanship are decided by the board of directors within thirty days and the decision is announced to the applicant in writing. The member whose application is accepted is recorded in the book to be kept for this purpose.
The main members of the association are the founders of the association and the persons accepted as members by the board of directors upon their applications.
Those who have provided significant financial and moral support to the Association can be accepted as honorary members with the decision of the board of directors.
Withdrawalfrom Membership, Removal
Article 4- Each member has the right to withdraw from the association, provided that he/she notifies in writing. As soon as the member's resignation petition reaches the board of directors, the withdrawal procedures are deemed finalized. Resignation from membership does not end the member's accumulated debts to the association.
Article 5- Conditions requiring dismissal from the membership of the association.
1- To act contrary to the charter of the association,
2- Constantly avoiding the assigned tasks,
3- Not paying the membership fee within six months despite written warnings,
4- Failure to comply with the decisions made by the bodies of the association.
5- To have lost the conditions of membership,
In the eventthat one of the situations listed above is determined, it shall be removed from membership by the decision of the board of directors.
